We recently developed the brand identity for Jireh, a business working in collaboration with local authorities to provide semi-independent accommodation for young people aged 16+. Their services are designed to offer young people not only a home and support from 24/7 guardians, but self-reliance and self-care skills, enabling them to develop their strengths and abilities and allowing them to learn to live as independently as possible before their transition to adult life.

The Jireh logo incorporates a hand holding a diamond - representing the giving of something special ‘care’. We used this idea from their original logo, but simplified it. We then included a light beam above the hand giving it a warmth alluding to a ‘new energy’ at Jireh. The diamond under the ‘i’ in the main logo highlights the importance of the individual at Jireh aka the young person in the placement - the diamond being upside down represents a pin - ‘I belong here’.
